Barcelona, probably the best team in the world of soccer in the last few years, had a terrible few days as they lost against Real Madrid in the Spanish League and then got knocked out of the Champions League by Chelsea. It all culminated yesterday with a brief announcement: Josep Guardiola, their manager, resigned.
Guardiola was undoubtedly the mastermind behind Barcelona's awesome success and great play during the four years of his reign. Now he says that he is tired, that these four years were exhausting and that he needs a rest.

Barcelona have appointed his assistant, Tito Villanova, as the new manager. The club has said that Villanova is not an interim manager and that he will remain at the club next season as well.
