Swiss skier Dario Cologna had a great race on Friday and managed to win the men’s cross-country 15km classic race in Sochi, his time was 38 minutes and 29 seconds.
He earned a gold medal for that but he deserves another one for what he did after the race. Instead of going someplace warm, take a shower, have some champagne, whatever, he just stood there at the finish line.
In fact, he was there 28 minutes after his victory to congratulate the last two athletes to finish the race, Dachhiri Sherpa from Nepal and Roberto Carcelen from Peru.
