There is nothing worse in a game of poker than being rivered. So often it happens and too often, it's my own fault (well possibly my own fault).
My theory is to not let the fish get to the river but all too often, I don't put this into practise.
Check out the attached screenshot. I had this player by the "proverbials" on the flop and I should have just gone all in at that point. Chances are they would have folded and I would have taken down the pot and still been in the game. Even on the turn, I should have just gone all in but no, I chose to slow play my trips and it cost me the game.
I really should listen to myself more often!
Do you do kick yourself in this kind of situation?
