I've seen a number of people write about their dislike of Real Time Gaming (RTG), but I think their dislike of the platform may very well not be the platform itself, but so many of the operators that use RTG have become notorious thieves, never payout winnings, slow payouts, and so on. The same can probably be said about Rival, and other providers.
I've always been one to actually like the platform. But now the only casino I know that allows you to play with an unrestricted wager amount, has a few nits that are equally as bad as the sites now placing wager restrictions on games while using a bonus, max cashouts, etc.
The change from Flash to HTML5 with RTG has been a joke. A... total... joke. The games are not nearly as loose, when you have a hit, there is a win count delay that is annoying, and did I mentionn they just don't pay out nearly as much as they used to... I have no idea why Adobe pulled the plug with Flash, but it affected so many programs that I use, and platforms that I play on.
RTG has been introducing games that I've been playing to "keep up with the Jones's" ... Take "Fortunate Buddah", and "Spring Wilds", as examples. They're geared (made like) like the popular Aristocrat "Lightning Link" lineup. "Khrysos Gold" is a new game, and it's the spitting image of NetEnt's "Divine Fortune" or "Mercy of the Gods" games. These are great advances for the platform, but they still grossly underperform Aristrocrat, NetEnt's versions that they are trying to establish into their libraries for their subscribers, and the subscribers patrons. I want to say that its a start, but RTG's efforts are like buying a Hyundai expecting it to perform like a BMW. And this is where the problem starts.
In The States, offshore casinos have preyed on American consumers since controversial gaming laws were introduced by the US government in 2004. That being said, there are loopholes (there always are) to things like this. The good platforms (Microgaming, NetEnt, etc.) left The States. The bottom feeders who are likely lining the pockets of US Politicians through their "affiliate programs" are what's left. Similar to the drug cartels, there's always a reason why both Mexican and US governments do nothing to wipe out the corruption, end the cartels... that would mean wiping themselves out of billions - not going to happen - at least not in our lifetime.
So RTG's new games... they're great, but again, it's like playing at a $100 slot machine at a land based casino, and only receiving a RTP that you'd expect from a penny machine. Maybe its me. Any other RTG fans that are disappointed like myself? I miss the one line games, too... It's a cheap platform. In the end, you get what you pay for.
